Kira Jones started with Chaffee County Fire in 2014 as the administrative assistant. In 2015 she became a volunteer with the District, and in 2017 moved into a career position. In 2024, Kira was appointed interim Fire Chief and was appointed as the full time Chief in April of 2025.
